These terms apply to quotes, bookings and work carried out by DJ's Stump Grinding (ABN 44 111 922 000). By asking us to quote or do work, you agree to them.
Quotes
We provide free, no-obligation quotes — usually after looking at the stump and access on-site, which is the only way to be accurate. A quote is based on the size, hardness, access and number of stumps as presented at the time. If conditions turn out to be different once work begins (for example, a much larger root system, hidden services or restricted access not disclosed), we’ll talk to you before doing extra work that changes the price.
Bookings & access
You agree to:
- Provide safe, reasonable access to the work area;
- Tell us about anything underground we should know about — pipes, irrigation, cabling, services or sprinklers;
- Make sure the area is clear of pets, children and obstacles while we work.
We grind stumps below ground level using suitable equipment and take reasonable care around paving, retaining walls and structures. We can’t be responsible for damage to unmarked underground services or items we weren’t told about.
Mulch & site clean-up
Grinding produces mulch. Unless agreed otherwise, we rake it up and tidy the area, and you can keep the mulch for your garden or ask us to remove it. We don’t remove the whole root system unless that work is specifically quoted.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing. The price is the quoted amount, plus any extra work you approve along the way.
Liability
We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to re-doing the work or refunding the amount paid for it.
